Game Designer (GD-2501)

Location: 555 Twin Dolphin Drive, Suite 145, Redwood City, CA 94065

DreamCraft creates technology that inspires talented individuals to create all kinds of video games without programming. To do that we must break the existing rules of game development based on funded teams and professional engines, and gear up our creators the most intuitive, easy-to-use, instant-deploy tools and unleash their full potential so that they can create the next "Dota", "PUBG", and "Clash of Clans".

Responsibilities

  • Work with tech team to design and develop the structure of video games, including planning and developing a wide variety of game elements.
  • Develop mechanics, content, concept, and monetization for video games.
  • Design the game core loop, user interfaces, and gameplay mechanics.
  • Work with professional game engines such as Unity 3D and Unreal Engine, programming languages such as Lua and C# and other development tools to integrate assets and batch narrative scripts
  • Engage with creator community and propose solutions to improve DreamCraft platform and editor product
  • Continual iteration on mission design based on team feedback and playtests; debug and analyze existing and new features
  • Establish and promote standard methodologies with team. Research and experiment with new implementation and creation techniques

Requirements

  • Requires Master’s Degree in Game Design, Game and Playable Media, Computer Science, or related field
  • Requires six months of experience in the job offered, Game Developer or related
  • Experience in C#, C++, Python, QML, Unity3D and Naninovel game engine required
